Perkins is one of the foremost experts in the United States on the purchase, sale and valuation of private companies. He has personally consulted on more than 100 business purchase and sale transactions, and has purchased control and minority positions in companies for his own account.

Perkins earned his undergraduate degree (psychology) from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He’s also completed postgraduate work in business valuation, securities, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) through a variety of institutions, including The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Perkins writes and/or edits all of the content published by DL Perkins and its related entities in its various outlets (publications, newsletters, websites, blogs). He also either personally handles or oversees each Acquisition Advisors client project.

He writes extensively on issues related to business investment, business management, and the purchase, sale and valuation of private companies. He is the author of A Concise Overview of Business Valuation, now in its second edition.

Perkins is married, the loving father of three daughters, and an avid runner and golfer. He’s a community volunteer, serves on the boards of various charitable organizations, and has received awards and honors for his philanthropic work.

Stephanie oversees all marketing-related functions of DL Perkins and its products, services and business units. A graduate of the University of Tulsa with a degree in psychology, she also earned an MBA from St John’s University in New York.

With more than 10 years’ experience in advertising space management, broadcast media, direct mail and online marketing, Stephanie has a thorough understanding of Web design principles, online best practices and multichannel strategies to maximize impact. She has worked for such major marketers as Lillian Vernon (a 56-year-old catalog and online marketer); Hachette Filipacchi Media (publishers of Woman’s Day, Elle, Road & Track and other magazines); and Value Line (publishers of investment guides). A high-energy marketer, Stephanie has a proven track record of creating an effective online presence.
